EverShield® ZERO™ is a PFAS-Free, Super Durable Water Repellant (SDWR) that deflects water. SDWRs have evolved from DWRs with superior durability while repelling water.

Unlike some DWRs, EverShield® ZERO™ treated fabrics can be washed at standard temperatures. No superheated wash or drying cycles are needed to maintain superhydrophobicity or oleophobicity. Cooler water and cooler dryers mean less energy consumption and lower operating costs.

Quick Facts

  • EverShield® ZERO™ is applied using the dip, pad, and dry process, followed by curing at 302-320 °F (150-160 °C) for 30-90 seconds.
  • Wet and dry pick-up values vary depending on fabric type and process conditions, with typical wet pick-up ranging from 50% to 120%.
  • Fabrics treated with EverShield® ZERO™ can withstand up to 50 wash cycles, based on the AATCC 135 test standard.
  • Ironing EverShield® ZERO™-treated fabrics is safe and doesn’t affect the treatment.
  • Cost estimates require lab testing to determine wet pick-up and vary based on fabric and processing conditions.
  • EverShield® ZERO™ concentrate has a one-year shelf life, but ongoing testing may extend it.
  • It cannot be applied to finished garments due to issues like shrinkage and uneven absorption at high curing temperatures.
  • EverShield® ZERO™ is not recommended for leather as the curing temperature may cause deformation or shrinkage.
